Local Oratory Contest

The William H Crippen American Legion Post of Humboldt held the first round of speeches at West Central High School on Friday, December 14, 2012. Eight contestants, two from each class, competed in the contest.
Each class competed separately, and the winners will compete on January 4, 2013 to see who advances to the District Contest in Humboldt on January 13.

The freshmen and sophomores are shown here.

Freshman Melissa Voss and Sophomore Rachel Schartz

received first place in their respective classes.
