Local representatives were present at a Veterans Roundtable held at the DAV in Sioux Falls on Saturday, December 8.
Among the requests were money for county service officers and better educational benefits for vets returning after serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Various leaders from the veterans groups spoke, including Denny Brenden, State Adjutant for the American Legion; Gene Murphy, State DAV Adjutant; Rick Barg, State Adjutant for the Veterans of Foreign Wars; and Mark Williamson, President of the Military Order of the Purple Hearts.
