Legion Report

The William H Crippen Post 62 held their regular meeting on Monday, June 2nd, with fourteen members  and one guest present. Eddie Baye was present at the meeting and decided to transfer to our Post. Minutes and treasurers reports from the previous meeting were read and approved. Service Officer Ken Struck reported no new reports for sick call. He said he had delivered fruit baskets to Fred Lee and Gary Sevatson. He also mentioned that his Service Officer account needed more money. A thank you card was received from Gary Sevatson and Fred Lee thanked the Post members for the fruit basket he received. It was also mentioned that Neal Even had been in the hospital and home now, and Louis Jarding was in the hospital and was home now.  
We discussed Memorial Day and various members stated they had received compliments on various parts of it. There was reports on our Cash raffle and Pat Ordal stated there were still tickets available. Other members turned in money from the sale of tickets this month. Only 200 tickets will be sold. 
Tom Sieverding reported on the Run/Walk during the Humboldt celebration. He showed the membership the plan for the shirts and the prizes that could be won. He had some information on other parts of the celebration.
Fred Lee reported on the Veterans Honored Interment casket or urn program. He had a brochure that was passed around. He also discussed the Consolidated Post report and updates were made for this report. He also reported on the History Book contest during the State Convention and presented a copy of our Post history from last year to Jerry Corey. A motion was made to contribute to the National Emergency Fund. Information from the “Up To Now” was relayed to the membership.
The Commander told the membership about the help we get from non-members for putting up and taking down flag poles for Memorial Day. Their help is greatly appreciated. He discussed the celebration and our participation in it. There was some discussion on grave markers and a few more will be ordered. Fred Lee mentioned we received flag presentation containers from Miller funeral home. We also discussed standards for our Community Veterans list and those eligible for flags in the cemeteries. 
After these discussions, the meeting was adjourned.

Auxiliary Report

The William H Crippen American Legion Auxiliary Unit 62 held their regular meeting Monday, June 2nd in the Community Center. President Connie Meyer called the meeting to order with fifteen members present. We said the Pledge of Allegiance, sang the National Anthem and recited the Preamble to our Constitution. The minutes and treasurer’s report of the previous meeting were given and approved.
A thank-you was received from Betty Grace for the pin she received at the Mother’s Tea. The Sunshine Committee sent a get-well card to Fred Lee. Elsie Baye is our new member. The Mother’s Tea and Memorial Day were reviewed. Both seemed to go well. Several members offered to bring bars and help with the supper we are serving for the Humboldt Farm Mutual Insurance annual meeting. We finalized the schedule for the times we will be hosting at the Museum during the Humboldt 125th Celebration. 
The meeting was adjourned. Carol Lee won the door prize. Dianne Struck and Carol Lee served lunch.
